Killara Secret Garden | Family Photography

This family session was held in a beautifully designed park in Sydney’s North Shore. The park contained concrete paths, benches and blooming flowers in this spring day. The park provided natural shading and soft natural light. Kids had the best time exploring the windy paths which lead to yet another beautiful spot. They were delighted and giggling. My only trouble was being able to keep up with their enthusiasm!

As a Northern Beaches family photographer, I recommend this location for families with young children, simply because how fun it is to explore for the little ones. In turn providing the opportunity to capture such candid and delightful moments.

In this family lifestyle session, the mother had a deep live for books. I discovered this during our discussion to book the session. This is why I love getting to know my clients, because often we are able to bring in such a unique element to the photos, which elevates the time we spend together and also the resulting images. We were able to include some very unique and valuable books during the rug scenes. The result turned out amazing. I love the image of the two girls reading together and they are lost in it. I am there, but at this point, my presence is now longer felt, and I can move around unnoticed while they are engrossed in the pages. And this was what I was able to capture for them.

At some point, the dad started looking a little tired perhaps and I encouraged him to lie down on his wife’s lap. I have not included those images below, however they actually produced such intimate moments between both of them. The daughter seeing them, decided to come and place her head down on her dad. It was a meaningful and beautiful afternoon in this magnificent North Shore park.
